I grew up at the beach on the coast of Venezuela and loved being in the water, but it wasn’t until we moved to Caracas that I started to surf. My family drove an hour and a half to a beautiful spot called Los Caracas every weekend, and I was utterly mesmerised by the surfers.
I was just eight years old when I started using the lid of a cooler bin to ride the white water. Seeing how obsessed I was with surfing, my father bought me my first surfboard at 11 and what started as a hobby quickly became a passion and a way of life.
I’ve been fortunate to travel the world with my board to places where i had the opportunity to study Yoga and massage therapies. I’ve surfed in Trinidad & Tobago, Europe (Spain, France, Portugal, Canary Islands), Asia Pacific (Indonesia, Australia) and the USA (Hawaii, California, Oregon) and there are so many places I’d still love to go.
Now I call Lanzarote home in the Canary Islands. Initially I was attracted by the fantastic surfing conditions, but then fell in love with the island for its incredible volcanic energy and natural beauty. It’s a great place for beginners and advanced surfers, so a perfect base to set up Wave Rituals so I can share my passion with others.
